The Diploma de Español como Lengua Extranjera (DELE) C1 certifies advanced proficiency in Spanish. It is issued by the Instituto Cervantes on behalf of Spain's Ministry of Education and does not expire. The DELE C1 is internationally recognized by universities, employers, and official institutions.
The exam consists of 4 tests grouped into 2 scoring groups. Group 1 includes reading comprehension and use of language (90 minutes, 5 tasks) and listening comprehension and use of language (50 minutes, 5 tasks). Group 2 includes integrated skills: listening comprehension and written expression (80 minutes, 2 tasks) and reading comprehension and oral expression (20 minutes preparation + 20 minutes, 3 tasks).
